My Reading List
Goals
fy 2015-2016
- Finalize and polish the User Management Automation systems to achieve autonomous functionality.
- Over the past year User Management Automation programs have been set to run automatically and with minimal manual intervention. Additionally, many common tasks (such as approving name changes) has been added to a user-friendly administration screen which other campus users can access (such as HR or Graduate Education.)
- Mentor new personnel as they become accustomed to the college infrastructure.
- I continue to mentor our new personnel and constantly strive to imbue collaboration with a sense of technical quality and holistic vision – always asking “how does this affect other pieces of the Morningside System and how can it contribute in unusual ways” of any technical project
- Foster smooth transitions for all systems and infrastructure related to the new Dimmit Hall
- DH received very good equipment for its renovation but was plagued by symptoms of an overarching wireless network issue which gave it a bit of a black eye. The network operations group has worked (and continues to work) on optimizing our network and eliminating shortcomings and bottlenecks.
- Continue working towards a Bachelor’s of Science degree
- 2015-2016 saw the successful completion of another 16 credit hours! Working with advisors, I have a remaining final schedule of approximately 4 semesters.
fy 2014-2015
- Continue working towards a Bachelors of Science degree
- Transition into more of a technical mentor for those in the department.
- Continually communicate and document projects by utilizing and implementing project management systems for the department with a long-range vision of improved transparency.
- Foster smooth transitions for all systems and infrastructure related to the new academic building.
- Mentor new personnel as they become accustomed to the college infrastructure.
- Finalize and polish the User Management Automation systems to achieve fully-designed functionality.
fy 2013-2014
- Continually communicate and document projects by utilizing and implementing project management systems for the department with a long-range vision of improved transparency.
